HONORING OUR GRADUATESTaking a moment to congratulate four employees graduating today from Nazareth Area High School: Talya Brugler, Ashley DeWalt, Joe Gromlowicz and Dravin Hendershot. Talya, Ashley and Joe have been with us since we opened in 2019 - always showing up with great attitudes, working hard, solving problems, having fun and providing excellent customer service. Dravin just started a little over a week ago as a new member of our kitchen staff, but fits right i...n with a great sense of humor and willingness to work and learn. We love them so much as our Work KidsWe are so proud of their achievements and wish them all the best in their future endeavors (Work Mom crying)Bright futures ahead!!!!! TALYA BRUGLER - Talya finishes her high school career as Nazareth Girls Basketball all time leading scorer, EPC Most Valuable Player and NAHS Winter Scholar Athlete. She will attend St. Joseph’s University in the fall to major in Sports Marketing and play Women’s Basketball. At MV Talya is an excellent ice cream server and popular party host!ASHLEY DEWALT - Ashley graduates as a member of the NAHS champion cheerleading team and plans to attend Penn State Main Campus in the fall. She is a true leader in all front of the house responsibilities: service, inventory, cleaning, technical assistance, admin, social media and serves as an excellent mentor to our newest employees. She is also great party host and apple dumpling maker and can be relied upon in all thingsJOE GROMLOWICZ- Joe is graduating at the top of his class with plans to attend Clarkson University to major in Aeronautical Engineering. He is our Mr. Fix-It mechanical expert at MV who keeps everything in working order. He also provides excellent customer service on the golf window and is the *best* dishwasher. Joe also has a great sense of fun and humor, as in his past role as SnowmiserDRAVIN HENDERSHOT - Dravin is the newest member of our team graduating today with a Culinary Arts degree from CIT and NAHS. Mountain View Drive-In is closed for the season (both ice cream and golf). We hope to reopen Spring 2021. We are grateful for every day we were open, every customer that walked in the door and every employee that showed up for work. Unfortunately we could not have all employees back this season because of Covid. This year was the worst of times, it was the best of times, it was a rollercoaster. Thank you to all the customers that visited us. Our goal this summer was to provid...e a safe space for you to spend time with family and friends - we hope we succeeded. We are grateful to eveyone who kept this place running and answered our SOS panic texts at every hour. We avoided disaster on so many occasions thanks to you: Jeff Marsh, Barry Bickert, Bickert's Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC, Dave Mack, Kevin Dishong, Josh Schmoyer, Werner Well & Pump Service LLC, Brian Gasda, Joe Piperato. We are grateful to employees and relatives that got us up and running this year (and kept us running): Hillary Carrigan, Monique Haney, Tessa Haney, Sharon Peters Schuler, Marggy Yeakel Schoeneberger. And we are extremely grateful to our employees who showed up in a good mood and worked hard: Emma Bergstresser, Talya Brugler, Ashley DeWalt, Tommy Dunleavy, Joe Gromlowicz, Tessa Haney, Morgen Johnson, Morgan Kranyecz, Aaron Leopold, Eleah Rinker, Selah Scarborough, Elijah Sumner, Arianna Witmer, Nicholas Zaso. We have nothing but good things to say about this group of young people. So many negative sentences start with Kids today... and that did not apply here. Kids today are problem solvers, they are optimistic, they show up in a good mood, they work together, they take initiative, they work hard. Kids today are kind. They are resilient. They each brought a unique talent that contributed to the team. Kids today are responsible, quick-thinkers, mature, calm under pressure. They are a bright future and we are grateful for every one.
