Our first taste of delicious fresh picked strawberries from Heckman Orchards! Our kitchen made homemade shortcake and homemade whip cream to top off this amazing summertime dessert!! We love to support our local farmers!!

Did you know that last Friday was Donut Day? We did!! We enjoyed a donut social and shared a few jokes!

The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear- Buddy from Elf Nose and Toes Last week all of our residents received a little Christmas cheer. A special thank you to everyone who donated tissues and Christmas socks to get us in the Christmas spirit.

Mrs Bush's Personal Care Home is looking for PCA and PCA/Med techs for different shifts 1. EVENING SHIFT PART TIME 4PM-9PM PCA... 2. NIGHT SHIFT PART TIME 6PM-6AM MED TECH/PCA 3. DAY SHIFT PART TIME 6AM-2PM PCA The Med tech/Personal Care Aide provides residents with assistance with activities of daily living. The Personal Care Aide promotes dignity and independence by providing respect and care. Administer medications while following physician orders. Provide direct personal care to residents, whether partial or complete care, showers, hair and nail care. Assist resident as needed in activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, walking, eating, toileting, etc. Report resident conditions, changes in condition, and/or concerns or problems to supervising nursing staff on duty or on call. Provide socialization and emotional support to residents, whether on a one to one basis or by encouraging and supporting attendance at scheduled activities. Ensure the security of the Home by following procedure for: visitors, residents out of the home, security system, locked doors, night lights, fire safety, emergency situations (i.e. power outage, water shortage, etc.). Other duties as assigned to promote well-being of Home and/or residents. Such tasks may include, but are not limited to: stocking supplies, soaking and spinning soiled laundry, cleaning wheelchairs and walkers, performing an activity (such as bean bag toss, exercise, bingo, cards, crafts, etc.). Must have high school diploma, GED, or active registry status on the PA nurse aide registry. Includes every other weekend

DON'T FORGET SUNSHINE MAIL DAY IS QUICKLY APPROACHING! We are showering our residents with sunshine mail. Our hope is that each of our 68 RESIDENTS will receive notes of encouragement and letters to brighten their day! The more mail the better! Our SUNSHINE MAIL DAY deadline is NOVEMBER 12TH!... Last week was filled with lots of Halloween festivities. From staff spirit week to Trick or Treat Prep to our Saturday Community event. It was nice to be able to provide fun during this challenging time.

Congratulations to our winners. After tallying votes from both Facebook and our residents we would like to announce our winners. We want to thank all of our staff who participated. This was a very tough competition! How will we top these in 2021?

Last week we went for a scenic drive to see the fall foliage at Beltzville State Park. We enjoyed stopping at the boat launch to watch the many fishermen and boats. This was our first outing since March 2020 and it was a much needed trip! We look forward to more scenic drives in the next week or so!

Our Country View Home is ready to celebrate everything PUMPKIN! The ladies made these beautiful pumpkins that look great hanging in the windows.

We can't let this month slip past us without a huge shout out to our Physical Therapists from H2 Health! It's #NationalPhysicalTherapyMonth and we are so grateful to have Jason and Dee as part of our team. Physical Therapy helps to reduce falls, increase balance, strengthen muscles, alleviate pain and so much more.
