Pastor Eric Phillips Acts 4: 23-31 The Power of God In Prayer ... 23 When they were released, they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them. 24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them, 25 who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit, ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain? 26 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed’ 27 for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. 29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus. 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

The Glory of God In Our Redemption;Ruth and Redemption Jordan Egli Ruth 1:14b, But Ruth clung to her.... Ruth 1:16-17 16 But Ruth replied, Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me. Ruth 1:20-21 20 Don’t call me Naomi, she told them. Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter. 21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me. Ruth 2:11-12 Boaz replied, I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husbandhow you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge. Ruth 2:16 Boas even tells the workers to pull out some stalks for her from the bundles and leave them for her to pick up Ruth 3:13 Stay here for the night, and in the morning if he wants to do his duty as your guardian-redeemer, good; let him redeem you. But if he is not willing, as surely as the Lord lives I will do it. Lie here until morning. Ruth 3:9 Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian-redeemer of our family. Ruth 4:14-15 The women said to Naomi: Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age.

1 Peter 2:4-12 The Glory of God in the Priesthood of All Believers 4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone ch...osen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame. 7 So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, 8 and A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense. They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. 9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. 12 Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F4RyDM-9Cw

Dear Mt. Carmel Church Family, Today is the one year anniversary that I became installed as your pastor. It has been a year of great anticipation as my family and I have eagerly longed to serve alongside you. It has been a hard year without a doubt due to the unexpected uncertainties of Covid-19. It was because of you and your love for Jesus that you have stepped up and led, cared, and strengthened the Bride of Christ. Your love for the church does not go unnoticed, and A...nnette and I thank you immensely. Thank you for caring for us and loving our family. Thank you for the pastor appreciation cards, notes, and words of encouragement. We are grateful to be here, and look forward to seeing how the Lord uses Mt. Carmel mightily for the kingdom of God this upcoming year. Mt. Carmel, keep pressing on! Philippians 3:14 says: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. It’s an honor to press on with such a great group of people like you! With Love, Pastor Eric and Family
