Blair Game is holding a spring cleanup weekend on April 28th and 29th. If anyone is interested in cleaning up the trail system we would enjoy your support. Lunch will be provided both days and there is a ton of tools that can be used on site. For more info contact the club at [email protected] or at blairgame.com. The club has a list of projects that will be tackled all over the property not just the trails and you can find more information at the website.

From good friends Lori and Jeff Stangl What an amazing day! I love the snow so much so my amazing hubby and I decided to hit the NEF trails at Riggles Gap Sportmans Club. What a special date day. 2.5 mile hike up and down the mountain in the beautiful falling snow. These trails were created by Nick Fasick an amazing Eagle Scout. Winter spring summer or fall every trail is an adventure in nature.

Hopefully the start of a new New Year’s Eve tradition. Hiked part the trail this morning with my son Nate, his wife Abby, and my dog Murphy. It was a blustery 8 degrees but it was beautiful!

Just a reminder...although the trail is open to the public year round, tomorrow November 27th, is the start of the Pa regular rifle deer season. If you plan on hiking, you must wear safety orange clothing. Stay safe!

The N.E.F. Hiking Trail system was constructed as an Eagle Scout Project by Nicholas E. Fasick (N.E.F.) on the grounds of The Blair County Game, Fish & Forestry Association inc. The trail is open to the public. The trail system has 3 different trails, all interconnected and easily accessible from the parking lot and or road entering the property. There are also 2 bridged stream crossings.
