Please check out Kampar Kitchen, an innovative collaborative kitchen launched by Malaysian-born Ange Branca of Saté Kampar. Housed in the Bok Building, Kampar Kitchen provides a low-cost cooking space for up-and-coming restaurants. Ange--who frequently partners with NSC at Global Tastes, our annual fundraiser--describes Kampar Kitchen as a "new business model" to bolster the struggling restaurant industry: "Kampar Kitchen essentially transforms into a different restaurant eac...h day, providing a diverse roster of upstart chefs and food entrepreneurs with the [resources] required to grow our small businesses... More permanent than a pop-up and more nurturing than an incubator, it’s a mission-driven base of operations for Philadelphia’s dynamic and resilient chefs, providing concrete and transparent infrastructure to a tumultuous industry." For more, and to order from Kampar Kitchen's special NYE menu, click here: https://kampar-kitchen.square.site/ Saté Kampar

At a time when the Latin American immigrant community is already facing hardship due to COVID, this threat is only adding additional stress, said Steven Larin, deputy director of Nationalities Service Center. NSC and Juntos, a community-led Latinx advocacy organization, had ramped up know-your-rights trainings to try to allay those fears. We rescheduled the "Know Your Rights" workshop with our lawyers and Juntos for this Monday, October 19. Join us on the FB live on the Juntos (Immigrant Rights Nonprofit) page to learn more about your rights to interactions with migrant. https://whyy.org//ice-officials-use-philly-press-conferen/
