"The qualities on which the Romeldale breed was founded 100 years ago, do I believe still hold great value in today’s market." - Patti Sexton Promoted by National Romeldale CVM Conservancy.

A message from our NRCC president, Heather Loomis: I have the great pleasure of writing to you today to say "Thank You!". Your dedication, hard work, and passion for conserving Romeldale CVM sheep has resulted in a move from Critical to Threatened on the Conservation Priority List managed by The Livestock Conservancy. This improvement in numbers of registered sheep is due to the collective efforts of breeders from both registries and flocks of all sizes. We should also g...ive thanks to those who purchase wool, meat, and breeding stock from our farms. Without their support, we would have little opportunity for growth. Today I celebrate all of you currently working with Romeldale CVM, and those before us who knew their value and acted on their behalf. If you have ever wondered whether the work you do is making a difference, be certain to reflect on this moment. YOU make a difference.

The NRCC encourages members to promote the Romeldale breed! Oak Creek Farm, in central Iowa, had an educational booth set up at a local farm tour to get the word out and share all that the breed and the NRCC have to offer. How has your farm been promoting Romeldales or the NRCC this past year?
