NPI receives $891,475 ASHA grant for dialysis equipment! The Nazareth Project has been awarded a US government grant that will purchase new dialysis machines and related equipment at Nazareth Hospital. Due to growing demand for dialysis treatment, the Hospital is expanding dialysis services by replacing old equipment and creating new treatment stations. During this time of crisis, Spiritual Care staff at the Hospital are actively praying with staff and patients. They share God’s peace, love and healing in a frightened world. The pandemic has confirmed that at times of fear, people turn to God. The Hospital has also created two special funds in response to the pandemic: -- COVID-19 Practical Support Fund: this fund will address practical needs and hardships faced by Hospital staff and patients. The fund will provide financia...l assistance, emergency food purchases or other kinds of support for those is desperate need. -- COVID-19 Capital Development Fund: this fund is designated for new and improved Emergency Room facilities. The Nazareth Hospital again achieved outstanding results in the Israeli Ministry of Health's recent nationwide hospital tests and patient opinion poll. Over 11,000 patients responded to the poll. Here are some highlights: For the fourth year running, the tests ranked the Neonatal Unit among the best in Israel with a full score of 100%. The ER Department, widely considered the best trauma unit in the region, received 70,000 patients this past year and earned 2nd place nationa...lly in the opinion poll. Finally, The Nazareth Hospital earned exceptional reviews across the board for sanitation and rate-of-infection, scoring 94.8% in the Pollution Control Index test.

Nancy Martin, a long-time friend and supporter of Nazareth Project, died on Monday evening, September 16. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA. The family will receive friends following the service. Those who wish to pay their respects prior to the service, the family will be available from 2-2:30 P.M. The burial will be private at Garbers Mennonite Cemetery.
