Please don’t forget last day for registration for the upcoming Essentials of Fire Fighting class! Hope to see everyone on the first night of class.
2021 Spring Essentials Just a friendly reminder that our 2021 Spring Essentials is rapidly approaching. Deadline to register is January 2nd, 2021. If you haven’t registered yet please do so. Currently we have 6 individuals registered for the course, which is shy of the minimum of 8 to run the program. You can register for the course at ncfirschool.org. Please remember to print all paperwork and waivers. Waivers must be signed by the appropriate officers of the respected company, and brought to the first day of class. A complete schedule can also be located on the fire school’s website under the general course info tab. We look forward to seeing you all on the first night of class
Another busy day at NCFS! Although no students were present, it doesn’t mean we don’t think about them and their training! Part of the day was building this prop to simulate breaching dry wall for fire extension exercises and maneuvering through studded walls with full P.P.E. On! We look forward to class this coming Thursday! Time was also spent on upkeep of the training grounds.
This past week instructors from NCFS were fortunate to deliver a successful Industrial Fire Brigade class for Victaulic Company (PA,NJ) and Globe Sprinkler Company (MI). Over the course of three days students learned about various aspects of industrial fire fighting. The students worked hard and set the bar high! They learned and practiced as much as they could to facilitate the needs of their respective employers. Thank you to the participants and companies involved for giving us at NCFS the chance to teach your personnel.
Just a snippet from the last few days of training Northampton County Corrections Officers. These men and women enrolled in the Fire Brigade program to expand their knowledge and practical skill sets as initial responders to fire/rescue type incidents within the prison. Stay tuned as they round out the weeks long training at NCFS!
This past weekend students learned about replacing burst hose-lines, maneuvers with 1.75 and 2.5 hose-lines, along with operating hose-lines off a ladder!
