Broadway's back and NVMT will also be. Look for us in spring of 2022!

Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre 24.06.2021

Our GoFundMe fundraiser is still in progress! NVMT has never sponsored a major fund-raising campaign in the past; however, due to the COVID19 restrictions that prevented us from staging our production for the last two seasons, we have established a GoFundMe fundraiser. We still have continuing expenses and we have continued to award scholarships during 2020 and 2021 despite the lack of recent income that has created financial stress that we would not have been experiencing du...ring normal times. Just click on the secure link below and you will gain access to the NVMT page. From there you merely click on the "donate now" button and make whatever contribution you feel you can. Any amount is helpful and most appreciated! NVMT's GoFundMe link is: https://gofund.me/6189bc10 Thank you all who have already donated to our fundraiser--your support is greatly appreciated! We have truly missed all of our audience members and we look forward to seeing you all in spring of 2022

Happy Eliza Doolittle Day! Enjoy your day.

To our NVMT supporters: For 65 years Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre has been staging Broadway-type musical productions each spring at the Neshaminy High School in Langhorne and has been honored with national recognition for several of our productions, earning awards such as outstanding performer, outstanding director and outstanding scenic design. The proceeds of our productions support scholarship grants which are awarded to graduating high school seniors who plan to continu...e their studies in the fine or performing arts. To date, NVMT has awarded more than $160,000 to nearly 200 students. While the COVID19 restrictions have prevented us from staging our production for the last two seasons, we felt it was appropriate to continue to award scholarships during 2020 and 2021. Needless to say, our scholarship awards, continuing expenses, and no recent income have created financial stress that we would not have been experiencing in normal times. WE NOW NEED YOUR HELP! NVMT has never sponsored a major fund-raising campaign in the past; however, due to the COVID19 restrictions that prevented us from staging our production for the last two seasons, we have established a GoFundMe fundraiser. Using GoFundMe is easy: Just click on the secure link below and you will gain access to the NVMT page. From there you merely click on the "donate now" button and make whatever contribution you feel you can. Any amount is helpful and most appreciated! NVMT's GoFundMe link is: https://gofund.me/6189bc10 Thank you all who have supported us in the past and we hope that you will consider making a donation to this fundraiser. For our "Guys and Dolls" enthusiasts, you might enjoy a female, jazzy version of this song. Broadway is supposedly going to do a female cast version of "1776"--perhaps there should be a female version of "Guys and Dolls" with reverse roles? So many great male parts in this show but not much for the women!

The original Broadway production of "Annie" opened at the Alvin Theatre on today's date, April 21, in 1977 and starred Andrea McArdle as Annie. These lovely little girls would have been NVMT's Annies and orphans. We were unable to produce our show again this year, but have not given up hope for next year!

Best Wishes to Dick and Sue Ditterline! After months of missed opportunities to connect, we were finally able to present Dick and Sue Ditterline with NVMT's Certificates of Lifetime Membership and a framed memento displaying the shows in which they participated with NVMT. In addition to performing in our shows for forty years, Dick and Sue also participated on our Board of Directors for many of those years. It has been a pleasure working with them both and we will continu...e to remember them fondly. Very best wishes from your NVMT family!

IMPORTANT NOTICE -- "ANNIE" OPENING POSTPONED THE SHOW MUST GO ONBut nothing, of course, is more important than the health and safety of our audience, cast, crew, production team and community! Just as you may be, we also are concerned about the public health situation potentially posed by the COVID-19 virus. Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre, following the lead of the Neshaminy School District, the Broadway League (of theaters) in New York City and many other theatre organiza...tions, regretfully announces that our production of ANNIE scheduled for the last weekend in March and the first weekend in April must be postponed. The Neshaminy School District has implemented a 30-day moratorium on all after-school and weekend activities starting March 13 through April 13. Consequently, our show with original dates of March 27, 28, 29 and April 3 & 4, 2020 has been postponed. NVMT is working with the School District to establish revised show dates and will post the dates as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time and a special thank you for your continued and enthusiastic support of our Music Theatre! PLEASE SHARE THIS NOTICE WITH ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED TICKETS. THANK YOU.
