MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Community wide Yard Sale and Vendor Sale August 7th, 8-3PM and August 8th, 10-2PM. ... Vendor Sale will take place at the Rec Center. All interested Vendors please message us on FB. As of now we have Color Street and Scentsy. There will also be a basket raffle at the Rec Center. Basket viewing and tickets will be available starting August 7th at 8AM and the drawing will be held live on FB on August 8th at 3PM. Proceeds benefit the Rec Center and the children in town. Tickets will be 5 sheets for $20 or $5 per sheet. Rec Center kitchen will be open. Yard Sale will take place throughout town for those who are interested. Please message us your name and address and it will be noted on a town map that will be distributed at the Rec Center the weekend of. We will also post the map on this page. If you would like to set up at the Rec Center, we will have a limited amount of spaces available outside for a rental fee of $10 per space for the weekend. However you will be responsible to clean up after yourself as we will not be responsible for any items let out overnight. Message us to sign up.

It is with a sad heart that we have to announce that the Children’s Christmas Party has been cancelled. Due to the increasing numbers of COVID in the area we fe...el it is best. We want everyone to be healthy for Christmas. You all are in our thoughts this holiday season especially the children and our hope is to come back in 2021 stronger. NESQUEHONING CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PARTY Sunday, December 13 at 6PM... We will be having the children’s Christmas party this year however things will be different to keep in compliance with social distancing. (This is for Nesquehoning residents only) Parents, please sign up your children by messaging the Rec Center on FB. We will need names and ages of all children between the ages of infant and 10 years old Signups will begin today until November 30th. This will give the Rec Center Elves time to prepare! This year we are asking each child to bring with them a letter to Santa. We will have a box for them to drop the letter to then be sent off to the North Pole Provided there are no major impacts with Covid, Santa will arrive by fire truck at 6PM so make sure you are there in time for his arrival We are asking that everyone remain outside for Santa’s arrival. Once he has arrived he will get comfortable inside by the Christmas tree. *Again we ask that everyone remain outside and socially distance. The Rec Center Elves will then announce the children’s names, as they have signed up, and at that time we ask that the child/children and parents enter the center to greet Santa and receive that special gift. There will be NO sitting on Santa’s lap. One of Santa’s Elves will hand your child the gift and pictures can be taken by him and the tree. We will allow a few minutes per family so we can get thru everyone in a timely manner since we have everyone waiting outside. Once you are done we will have you exit out the back of the building and then call the next family in. We will not be able to provide any snacks as in years past We will do our best to make this a normal experience for the children.
