As COVID-19 cases continue to grow in the state, Nesquehoning Borough continues to seek relief to save lives and stop the spread of COVID-19. We are asking everyone especially from counties and states that are considered hot spots to abide by their Governors mandates to stay at home, so that we can all help mitigate the spread of this deadly virus. Cases in Carbon county are doubling every few days. As of 3/31/20 there are 17 cases and 1 death. It is not only affecting the el...derly, every day we are hearing of younger people becoming seriously sick or dying. Please take this seriously and follow the guidelines set by the Federal Government,CDC, State and local health departments. Practice social distancing, wash your hands and stay at home. Nesquehoning Police Department would like to thank the Lehighton Walmart on their donation of a cart of supplies consisting of microwavable and canned goods and also disinfecting wipes and personal protective equiment. Thanks to this generous donation of suppies we will be more equipped to help the residents of the Nesquehoning Borough.

Nesquehoning Police Department would like to thank the Lehighton Walmart on their donation of a 65 inch VIZIO TV that will be used for our new surveillance system that our department will be receiving shortly. We would also like to thank the good samaritan/ veteran for assisting in the delivery of the TV.

Nesquehoning Police Department is now accepting applications for Part Time Police Officer. Applications can be picked up in person at our borough office (114 West Catawissa Street) or online at www.nesquehoning.org (under police department section).

With heavy hearts the Nesquehoning Police Department would like to extend our condolences to Officer Jones’ family and friends. We will take it from here brother. Until Valhalla
