Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (#PFAS) are a class of #polluting #emission that are seeing increased scrutiny by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, particularly in regards to #ToxicReleaseInventory reporting:

Tomorrow is National #PollutionControl Day in #India. As the third largest source of #polluting #emissions (after China and the U.S.), they recognize the need to capture, control, and mitigate airborne and other #pollutants:

In addition to controlling #industrial and #manufacturing #odor, a #thermaloxidizer "...can be employed to efficiently destroy #VOCs, some #particulatematter and #hydrocarbons by 98 to 99.99 percent, per EPA."

"On the economic side, the researchers estimated that the direct and indirect costs of #airpollution cost Utahns around $1.9 billion dollars (in the range of $0.75-3.3 billion) annually."
