Per the DEP, the dump site behind the Borough’s Public Work’s Garage on Howard Street is closed. There is no dumping permitted in this area or any other area of the Borough.

Please take a few minutes to complete this very important Community Survey. We want your feedback on how to move forward with our community parks within the Borough. You will be receiving a paper copy of this survey in your NE Boro Sewage invoice being mailed out his week. Each person can complete the survey once in any format that they chose. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for part of the forecast area for the impending snowfall arriving Monday and continuing into Tuesday. The counties in the watch area may change as the onset time of the event arrives so please stay tuned. We will post updates as we receive them. In addition, the freezing drizzle will remain a threat this afternoon and into this evening.

Additional disturbances are expected to impact the area beginning tomorrow afternoon, continuing into Friday. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for portions of WV. Forecast snow accumulation amounts are listed below.

When the Street Department is called out please keep in mind Emergency routes and bus routes are done first. Sycamore Street and Memorial Avenue are also cleared first. Avenues are then done followed by Alleys and Dead ends. Please be patient and stay safe!!

Due to the inclement weather conditions on Monday February 1st, County Hauling notified the Borough that refuse collection will be delayed one day. New Eagle Public Works are working diligently to plow and salt the roads in the borough. Please use caution if you need to go out, and be patient with our workers. They will get to your street as soon as they can. Thank you and stay safe.

There have been recent political-based vandalism to borough streets and the New Eagle Volunteer Fire Department’s Social Hall. If anyone has any information, video footage, or has witnessed the defacing of public property within the borough, please contact the borough office at 724-258-4477. Thank you.
