Thank you to everyone who took time to come by the New Hope Historic Society and pick up some of our free ferns. We gave away a few hundred ferns and hope they find new homes in wonderful gardens. We would love to see photos of your gardens and Ferns.
Shout out to our friends at A Garden in Thyme for their historical horticulture work at the Parry Mansion. Check them out.. https://a-garden-in-thyme.com/about/
Well look who stopped by to pick up some FERNS?
Pick up a Free Ostrich Fern at the Parry Mansion. 12:00-3:00pm Tuesday, August 25, 2020 "Ostrich Fern" - Matteuccia Struthiopteris - USDA ZONE 3-7 These plants adore the shade to part sun, this is part of the reason they need to be moved/removed from the bed they are currently in. When transplanting they need a shallow hole, but room to spread their roots, and regular watering initially to get them established. Lovely and lush, low maintenance beauties. They can be planted in the ground or in planters.
The debris has been cleared and removed . Luckily not very much damage.
We had some damage at the Mansion today . It Will be cleaned up tomorrow. Thanks for your support and understanding.
