We have had several complaints about someone (laying rubber) doing burnouts at stop signs here in and around the borough. In order to ID this individual?! We are asking for the community’s help. Please pm our page with any info that may help as we will continue to investigate. If you witness or have witnessed this act. Please report it. As always your reporting will remain anonymous. Attention New Philadelphia Borough residents... The borough council meeting will be held tonight at 6pm at the borough building at 15 Macomb St. (The Fire Station) Social distancing is prepared for attendance. We would like to see more residence come to the meetings to show personal and community concerns. A mask must be appropriately worn. Thank you

Also: Update for the walking trail. Mayor Ed Slane has authorized the use of the walking trail behind the ball field and pavilion during daylight hours only. The gate will be unlocked from dawn to dusk. Please continue the act of social distancing. Thank you for your continued cooperation during this difficult time.

It has come to the attention of our firefighters that, due to the practice of Social Distancing, some of our borough’s little residents aren’t able to celebrate... their birthdays with parties and friends. Because of this, if moms and dads want their children to a have a personal fire truck parade on their block, let us know by messaging us on Facebook or reaching out to a firefighter. If we have the resources, we will bring a truck around your block with lights and sirens to wish your son or daughter a very Happy Birthday! (Please give us at least 24 hours notice.)
