Congrats Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the big win today. Hopefully things go smoothly the next few weeks and we can go into 2021 with some hope and hustle. Now is just the beginning. Now we hold our elected leaders, federally and at the state level, accountable to make our country better and brighter for ALL Americans. As Britney says, you better work, bitch.

In case you didn't know, I am gay and I have spent the last 7 years cultivating a loving, supportive space for LGBTQ+ identified clients and their families. This will be my ONE and ONLY directly political post, so hear me loud and clear: The Trump/Pence administration does not care about you if you are not cisgender, straight, white, Christian, and male. Also, the T/P admin doesn't care about you if you make less than $400k a year. Senator Kamala Harris tried to make tha...t clear tonight at the VP debates. If you are someone who is anti-racist and supports love, you MUST vote Biden/Harris in November. Do I like Biden? No. Do I think Senator Harris has a great record? Not at all. BUT. They are not Trump and the GOP. For one of the many reasons not to vote Trump: Google search GOP Platform 2020 and find page 32. the Republican Party plans to repeal the federal definition of marriage. And this is ONLY the beginning of what is possible for the federal rights of marginalized people. I am tired of other people deciding what I can and cannot do with my life and who I can and cannot love. I am exhausted trying to comfort my clients weekly around decisions this administration continues to implement... I have no good answers beyond "yes, your fear is valid, and all we can do is VOTE." We are scared, we are tired, and we are done being nice about it.
