It’s an unusual combo but I love powerlifting and I love yoga! Powerlifting definitely takes priority for me, however; when I have spare time on an active rest day, yoga is my favorite thing to do. Yoga promotes concentration on your breath, strengthens your core, and increases your flexibility and mobility. These are all amazing things! Plus, I personally use yoga as a type of meditation. I am able to immerse myself in the moment; I have much better focus with dynamic meditation. I can do the sit down and just breathe meditation but it takes me a whole lot longer for me to settle down both physically and mentally.

Alright, I had a distressing day. I did my inbody at work cuz I could tell something was off just by the way I look. I know my body, and I am actively tracking what I eat and my protein levels.
