Beaver Borough is a dry town, a fine town, lots of stores and 40 minutes away from here. They call it a "vibrant" town. See this website and vote NO on May 19th. http://www.beaverpa.us/

Vote NO on the referendum on May 19th. Bellevue has the unique selling point of being a dry town. It makes our town stand out. Growing up in a dry town is a gift for the children. If changed, there is no going back to what we have right now. Pass this post on . . .

Fine-Dining Establishments Taking The Biggest Hit: Per TIME business article below. http://content.time.com//bu/article/0,8599,2008139,00.html... "We used to say that [alcohol consumption] was recession-proof or at least recession-resilient, but the rules have changed in this recession," says David Henkes, a vice president at Technomic, a research and consulting firm. [US - Could go into recession in 2015: Expert http://www.cnbc.com/id/102496659] Traffic to restaurants has plunged, with fine-dining establishments taking the biggest hit as businesses pull back on entertaining clients and consumers keep a tighter grip on their pocketbooks. Sales of alcoholic beverages at bars and restaurants fell 4.6% in 2009, while sales at liquor stores, supermarkets and other retailers for "at home" drinking rose 1.2%, the report said. Americans are gulping 10 drinks on average each month at home, compared with only 5.7 drinks in bars and restaurants, the report notes. Certain drugstore chains and cash-strapped state governments are trying to cash in on the trend. In the past year, Walgreens has started stocking its shelves with beer and wine, reversing a 15-year ban on alcohol sales. *And in New York, Governor David Paterson is pushing for legislation that would end a 20-year fight to allow grocery stores to sell wine a move that would generate about $300 million in licensing fees alone. "The governor is one of the big champions of this because they're turning over every rock they can find for revenue right now," says Dan Hendrick, communications director for the New York League of Conservation Voters, an environmental group lobbying for the change as a way to raise revenue. About 35 other states already allow this. Dear N.B.I.B. Group How will this affect the restaurants and beer gardens being promised to Bellevue to create a more vibrant business district if this trend continues--especially, if alcohol sales are opened to drug and grocery stores? It would seem if the referendum passes, Bellevue will be left holding the bagBeing dry and BYOB seems more prudent considering the predicted recession at the end of 2015. Remember to vote NO on May 19th.

Happy Mother's Day. We are posting a statement only for clarification of a recent issue brought up in our notifications folder from Facebook. The Town Hall Meeting: No Bars in Bellevue was given, literally, a day and a half notice/ invitation to speak at the meeting. It is unbelievable that the opposition would leave this information out when telling their groups that No Bars in Bellevue did not speak at the meeting. ... With life schedules, it was an insufficient amount of time to gather and organize the information, let alone put together any sort of presentation. Have an enjoyable day in Bellevue and make sure to vote NO on May 19th.

QUOTE FROM "NO BARS IN BELLEVUE" ONLINE ARTICLE FROM THE BELLEVUE BOROUGH NEWS: Considering the mall's impact on Bellevue quite a few years ago, along with online ordering, the closing down of Suburban General Hospital, and the economic downslide that has affected the country nationwide, we would assert that Bellevue is holding its own, incredibly well, without bars, taverns, restaurants, hotels, clubs, and similar establishments with alcohol licenses. We have the most store...s and best access to things that people need in comparison to many of our surrounding towns like Brighton Heights, the Northside, Avalon, Ben Avon, and Emsworth. People come to Bellevue from those areas to shop. How many of us travel to the surrounding towns mentioned to shop? No Bars In Bellevue Pass this post on . . .

What networks are in the Bellevue are? 2.Education is economic development, especially early education. We have a few pre schools 3.Tourism is a traded business just as much as manufacturing.
