The NPHS Key Club invites members of the North Penn community to a Memorial Day service held in honor and remembrance of fallen NPHS graduates on Monday, May 31 at 11:15 am in the Memorial Garden at Penndale Middle School, located at the corner of Penn Street and Church Road in Lansdale. Join us in recognizing NPHS senior Catherine Cavanaugh for being selected as a finalist in 57th class of the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program by the U.S. Department of Education! Read more: https://bit.ly/2TadX3N Catherine is the founder of The Spanish Translation Project (https://cathcav908.wixsite.com/spanish), a website to help students with Spanish and English language education. The project helps English as a Second Language students with educational content by translating health, biology and chemistry information. It also provides knowledgeable tutors for students having difficulties in Spanish classes and with the English language, especially due to virtual learning caused by COVID-19.

Last week, A.M. Kulp Elementary School students and staff celebrated pirate day by embarking on a journey across the seven seas... otherwise known as the hallways. Students crafted their tools for the scavenger hunt and learned about pirates along the way until they finally reached the buried treasure - gold coins and pirate books! Way to keep learning interactive and fun, Kulp! While our students enjoyed their gold and books, we know the real treasure is the education and fun memories of our youngest learners.

The North Penn community is invited to tune in this upcoming weekend for a virtual performance of an original show, Breathing through Covid, created by North Penn High School (NPHS) Theatre and Thespian Troupe 5464. Today we welcomed students in grades K-2 back into our buildings for our first day of hybrid learning! Although we can't all be together in the same room, synchronous hybrid learning allows all of our students to participate in the same lessons, live, at the same time with their teachers. Our students, families and staff did an outstanding job on day one of this new adventure. Thank you for continuing to adapt with us as we navigate these new waters. We know it isn't easy, but you're all doing amazing. We appreciate your patience, flexibility and continued support on behalf of providing the best education possible for our students. We truly couldn't do it without you. At school or at home, together we are #NorthPennStrong.

YouTube.com/nptv Comcast Channel 28 & Verizon Channel 29... Our fall athletics teams are in full swing at NPHS and have been seeing great success on the field, court, and in the water. With that being said, the football game tonight vs CB West is a closed event and no tickets will be sold. Family members of senior players have been issued a limited number of tracked game passes to allow us to socially distance within the stadium. Please know that students and the public are not able to be on campus to view any of our home athletic competitions, and doing so could compromise the ability of our athletes to compete. The Suburban One League has a standing agreement that only limited home fans are allowed to attend athletic competitions at this time. This plan will allow our family members to watch their seniors compete tonight during senior night. We appreciate your understanding and patience during these challenging times! #NorthPennStrong
