With the possibility of the impending flooding. I would hope and encourage people in any area that could possibly flood to head the warning and get yourselves a...nd any children that might be involved to a safe place, before you can’t get out. For anyone else that knows anyone that might be in these situations to please check on them early this evening to make sure they are aware of the situation that could happen. Most places that will possibly flood are well aware of the danger, please don’t wait till it’s too late and then risk you and your family’s life and most importantly the emergency responders that will have to try and get to you! Also remember not too drive through flooded roadways! Turn around, don’t drown.

The North Towanda fire & Rescue volunteer fire department is cooking its last chicken of the year tomorrow November 14th. We are cooking it for the Towanda area high school senior class to help them raise money for their senior trip. They still have over a 100 halves of chicken to sell. The price is 7.50 a halve. Chicken should be done by 11:00 am. If you would like to reserve some stop at the Firehall in the morning or contact Brooks Greenland.

Another great weekend of rope training by dept members along with several other dedicated men and woman from through out the country. Thank you to Greater Valley EMS for hosting the class.
