1/3/2021--The meal pre-order form is open and accepting orders for fully remote students and any children in your household age 18 and under who do not attend school. Please note that since we are returning to the hybrid schedule, the distribution times have been adjusted. Orders will be accepted until 9pm this evening for tomorrow's distribution. The Northwestern School District will follow Governor Wolf's limited-time mitigation orders effective Saturday, December 12 through January 4, 2021 which means there will be no athletic or extra-curricular activities during that time. Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated as we do our part in following these orders.

Mr. Wheeler, Northwestern Elementary music teacher, is shown below with one of his trombone players today (Claralee Johnson) during her 5th grade band lesson. All band students have been getting weekly band lesson videos which is the same content they would have received if they were face to face. They've been sending progress videos to Mr. Wheeler via Flipgrid, and he responds with feedback giving them suggestions on how they might improve. Mr. Wheeler decided to also offer individual band lessons to his 5th graders via Google Meet (like Zoom) and had 100% of them sign up and they are making great progress! Music is alive and well at NWE!

Northwestern Elementary first graders enjoyed a special Halloween STEM activity today. They read "5 Little Pumpkins" and then designed fences for their pumpkins! Nice creations Wildcats!

12/10/2020--Hello Families!! If you signed up for the evening meal distribution today, pick up is from 5pm-6m at Northwestern High School and Springfield Elementary. Please remember if you are not able to be there during the scheduled time, you are permitted to send someone else to get your FREE meals. Thank you!

Springfield Elementary families....today's Halloween parade will be live streamed on the Springfield Elementary PTO Facebook page. Morning session will be at 10:30am, afternoon session will be at 3:00pm. Thank you to those that organized this event!

This just in....Saturday's Varsity Football game will be played at Veteran's stadium at 1pm. NW football players, cheerleaders and coaches must still pick up their ticket passes from the District Office by Friday afternoon. You will then present your pass at the gate for entry, BUT you must pay a $4.00 admittance fee upon entry. Your pass from the district allows the teams to control the spectator numbers for the event.
