Please give a warm welcome to Luke. This wonderful horse joined our lesson program. He is a 10 year old bay TB who has the heart of a champion. He is so gentle and kind and is warming the hearts of many riders.

We had a blast showing at AHS today. Thank you to these ladies for making this weekend wonderful. We are back at it after a year off due to Covid. Everything felt safe and we are excited to be back in the ring with our own horses.

Today I do horse of the week a few days early and it OBVIOUSLY goes to Rebel! HAPPY BIRTHDAY REBEL! After 16 years together, I can still say, you’re the best little horse around. You’re the best school master. You’ve earned that title over and over but now that you’re 16, I can officially say school master. Rebel came in with a lot of 150 PMU weanlings at a farm I worked at in college. There were all the colors and shapes and sizes and breeds, but he stuck out to me imme...diately. He was not the only palomino paint in the group either, or the prettiest or flashiest or biggest. But he had the kindest eye. One of my jobs were to help prepare to sell each baby for $800. And people poured in with their trucks and trailers and bought loads of them. I only had a few halters on and was teaching a few to lead but rebel got the majority of my attention out of 150. Within a few weeks he know how to lead and pick up his feet and accept human contact. He would walk up to you in the field out of the herd. After a few months of selling off these babies, rebel and around 50 others remained. I went to the owner, very confused, and asked why isn’t the little palomino paint colt thats ive been working with selling? He’s the best one in the whole group and her response was he’s sold, I’m saving him for you, pay as you can. I was a broke college student, and already had Paige who was eating a whole in my pocket, but I worked hard and paid her $25 a week. On the payment that would bring me to $425 I handed her the $25 and she said congrats! That’s your last payment! And he was mine. He’s my heart horse and my number one (sorry Paige, you’re a close second) and has gotten me through everything the last 16 years. He’s moved many many times with me. We have worked together to teach so so many students the love of riding and horses. He’s the horse I always hug and kiss when I walk by and I’m so so lucky to have him in my life. rebel pebble If Rebel has also stolen your heart, please drop him a happy birthday comment or memory and I will read it to him. Winnie is horse of the week. She has only shown good behavior this week. Winnie is a small but mighty package. She carries walk trot riders up to 2’6+. She always surprises me when she clears big jumps with no problem.

Thanks to some new horsepower in the barn, we got to maintenance and ride outside today!

Thanks to Abigail, Adela, Aimee, Andrea, Andrea, Bryn, Beth, Charley, Charlotte, Davita, Emily, Emily, Grace, Jackie, Jane, Jay, Joe, Kevin, Kristen, Lydia, Marisa, Medjine, Paige, Pam, Rachel, Rose, Stephen, Tavis, and anyone who we missed. Voting will last till wed the 28th at 8 pm. Our 2nd annual Halloween event went better than we could have imagined. The horses and humans had a blast dressing up. The decorations along our spooky path were amazing. If you missed us this year be sure to check out the pictures after the costume contest pictures and see what we had going on! The tickets to space pods out worked very well and everyone remained socially distanced, masked and outdoors the whole time. Some kids pulled their masks off for their pictures Next year we hope to be back to normal and can accommodate everyone! Happy Halloween

Hello riders! One of our amazing IEA parents got this together for the IEA season but I wanted to make this available to everyone in our community since masks are still required at the barn, and life in general. Below is a picture of the the mock up mask and a link to purchase directly. The mask is the recommended 3 ply, 100% cotton and meets the CDC recommendations. The logo will be screen printed vs embroidered, is washable and dry on low heat. Pricing starts at $12.93 p...er mask. She has set up a group order so each person interested in ordering can directly order and pay online and all masks will be shipped to the barn for distribution. The order closing date is August 31st and delivery will take two weeks. The masks are adult sizing so some of the younger riders may find the ear loops too big. She has sourced spring loaded toggles so the ear loops become adjustable. Orders are open to riders, friends, parents or barn peeps, etc. and is optional. Yesterday we got a lot of rain. A few hours after the rain stopped our paddocks and meadow looked like a river. The creek flooded our brand new paddocks to the top rail. We could only assume the worst. Check out the comments to see what the paddocks look like this morning.
