Who’s Ready? Opening Day is tomorrow! Players arrive at Cassidy Field 9:15 AM for Opening Ceremony, Games starts 10AM and run through the day. The snack bar will be open all day! It will be a fun day with beautiful weather expected! Raffles on sale by the snack bar!!

Registration is now open for an indoor winter Basketball season boys and girls. Grades K thru 8 for Girls. Grades K- 12 for boys. This is a similar set up to the outdoor league. Note Games will be played indoors**. Register at www.norwoodac.com

** With Heartfelt Appreciation ** On behalf of our entire family, I wanted to give a HUGE shoutout and show of THANKS & APPRECIATION to Norwood Athletic Club (NAC) for their amazing display of generosity & compassion as we deal with the trauma from the arson incident which has displaced us from our home. The NAC provided us with a pre-loaded debit card to help us combat this trying time.... ANOTHER THANKS goes to my Pool Team "Five 'O' Kind" who also decided to donate the prize money we won from the 2020 Spring Session! While not necessary, I can assure you all that it has been ENORMOUSLY APPRECIATED! People never realize how stressful an ordeal like this is until you experience it yourself ... especially when you find yourself essentially homeless, with mostly all your food in cabinets, fridge, and freezer pretty much useless ... as the kids prepared to start a new school year with no school supplies, etc! Insurance can make up for it, MANY MONTHS LATER, but does NOT exactly help in the "immediate!" LUCKILY for us, there are more good people in this world, aside from the perpetually negative news stories, than one can imagine, who are always there when you need them. America still is the most generous nation on earth! Here we sit THREE MONTHS LATER, and the Ins Comp issued checks to our public adjuster ... now it is a few weeks wait for them to clear. PRAYING to start the rebuild before Nov 15th! Then it will be mountains of work deciding colors, items, resupplying "things" etc ... LOTS of planning, shopping, and dealing with our contractor ... but at least now there is some light. Carol has been stressed beyond belief too .... moving everyone into the hotel, and this past Monday moving everyone out of there and into a Temp Apartment (Yes, they FINALLY found us something!), and eventually another move back HOME at some point (HOPEFULLY FOR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY)! We are the last people to ever feel like we would be the "Needy" ones ... from a Pride standpoint ... it is rough to go from the ones always helping out, to all of a sudden "accepting charity" from others.... it is a very odd feeling... .... BUT ONCE AGAIN ... THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH TO MY NAC & POOL TEAM FAMILIES .... WE GREATLY APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR US!!! With Deepest Appreciation, The White Family

Basketball Registration Open Girls and Boys Grades 2-12 Outdoor League Basketball teams for Interboro Girls and Boys grades 2 to 12 are now available.... Leagues will start the first week of September and run through the end of October. All games will be played outdoors in the 4 Interboro communities. This league was designed to allow kids to stay active and to maintain a sense of normalcy during this pandemic. Players will have temperature checks and be required to wear masks on benches and teams will be actively disinfecting benches. Spectators will be expected to social distance and all CDC guidelines will be followed. NAC would like to congratulate Haley Gonzalez who was awarded the 2020 NAC Scholarship. Haley has been involved in NAC since she was a little girl where she started in our soccer program and has gone on to dominate on the Softball field and Basketball Court! Haley has also been a fixture working tirelessly in our Snack Bar as well as many other volunteer en devours. Kids like Haley are what make Norwood Athletic Club great! Haley we know you will go on to do exceptional things, CONGRATULATIONS!
