Yesterday, Norwood EMS was dispatched to a Sick Person. The call came to the 911 Center via a Medical Alert Pendant. Upon arrival and initial patient assessment, our crew of Nick Torres and Mina Davis recognized the signs of an Acute CVA (Stroke) and were able rapidily package and request for Advanced Life Support from Crozer EMS within 3 minutes. The patient was immediately transported to Crozer where she was stabilized and successfully treated for what in fact was a CVA. The crew said We were just doing our job. To EMS Providers, that may be the case. But to a stroke survivor and family- they were saving a life.

Due to COVID we are having our first drive thru fire prevention. Come thru and grab a Halloween bag full of goodies and just say hi. We are here from 1-4 today. Hope to see you !!!!!

Attention residents, we finally got confirmation the Santa will be making his rounds throughout the Boro Saturday December 19 starting around 5:30. Due to this awful COVID,we will not be giving out candy canes which disappoints us greatly but we need to be safe. We will not be stopping the truck at no point during the route. When you hear the sirens please come out front to give Santa a wave! We will try to get to every street covered but if you live on a dead end or circle please come to the nearest corner. Thank you for your cooperation and we will be seeing everyone on Saturday

Reminder our drive through fire prevention event is today from 1to 4 come by and grab your Halloween grab bag

This is a follow up to our post on our drive thru fire prevention event our annual open house scheduled for Wednesday October 7th is canceled due to covid restrictions. That's why we will hold this drive-thru event and will give out premade bags for the kids.The drive thru will be on October 18th from 1-4pm!
