"I want to get a degree first and then join as an Officer" Why bother? We're hiring more from within. Proof? I got you. Meet ENS Kumano. She joined the Navy as ...a PACT Seaman and then designated as an Operations Specialist. I actually served with her on my last ship the USS Harpers Ferry. ENS Kumano used Navy Tuition Assistance to get her degree while she was serving and was very quickly accepted to Officer Candidate School! Since she's prior enlisted, she'll also have the moniker "Mustang" since she was an Enlisted Sailor first! The best part?
