NTRPDC Awarded Digital Literacy Grants through PA Department of Labor for Northern Tier Region NTRPDC was recently announced as a recipient of five Digital Literacy and Workforce Development Grants (DLWDG), administered by the Department of Labor and Industry (L&I) for a cumulative funding total of nearly $134,000. This initiative will feature collaboration among regional partners to provide awareness of digital literacy via mobile services and classroom style instr...uction. One of the primary goals of this program is to help strengthen the area’s workforce by teaching participants the skills to successfully navigate the ever-changing technology climate. Deputy Director, Melissa Fleming commented, Our goal is to ensure our customers have the tools and knowledge needed to navigate in the current environment. Now more than ever individuals need to connect to online resources to search for work and become competitive in the workplace. This funding will help bridge the gap and enhance digital literacy opportunities to underserved communities in each of the five counties in the Northern Tier region. Train Car Mural painting--EXCITING NEWS! More canvases have arrived for the mural that will go on the historic train car located along the Merrill Parkway! We ...want as many community members/groups/businesses/schools to participate as possible, so we have added a new painting location. Choose to paint between two locations: The Enterprise Center in Sayre, PA OR The Wyalusing Creek Plaza (former Genesis Salon Building). Painting is as before: Monday through Thursday 4-7:30/8pm. Paint and brushes are provided. Please dress appropriately--it can get a bit messy. Young adult and older as some painting can be intricate. Paint-by-number type of style. Due to current building restrictions, space is limited so please reach out to [email protected] or call 570-265-8687 to schedule your location and date to help paint!
