They are in clinical rotations, working with and around critically ill patients, and working along side their partners in health care. Margaret Rosenzweig, a two-time alumna and Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, is the 2020 recipient of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research’s (FNINR) President’s Award. This highly competitive award is given annually by FNINR to a researcher who engages both academia and clinical practice partners. Congratulations to our faculty who were honored at the Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania’s 31st annual gala and celebration. Heeyoung Lee, associate professor, received the Nursing Education: Academia award, and Salah Al-Zaiti, associate professor, received the Nursing Research award. Pamela Keller (BSN ’90) and Joanna Dixon (BSN-H ’07) were award finalists. ... Aaron Douthit, a Doctor of Nursing Practice student in the Nurse Anesthesia concentration, was a Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania scholarship recipient.
