Rynd Farm Road in Oakland Township will be closed occasionally for the next two weeks for day lighting. This will be the final step of Rynd Farm Road project that was done this summer. GLAD ELECTION DAY IS FINALLY HERE. Praying for God’s mercy on the USA.

A few more pictures of the work that the Township[p is currently doing on Davis Rd. from completion of the French mattress, reestablishing the swale along Reynolds Bridge, and placing new subbase, and rising of the roadway to help with flood control along the road. The work that we are doing will not stop a flood like we had in this area in July 2019 but it will help control the annual; flooding that the area experiences/ John, Bill Craig

A few pictures of the road work the Township is doing on Davis Rd. The area we are working in has had a long history of flooding over the years as seen in the picture of the high-water mark on the door after 19 July 2019 flood. With a grant from the Venango County Conservation District under the Low Volume Roads Program we are trying to alleviate the risk of flooding. The job consists of daylighting of the roadway, installation of a French mattress, under drains, new cross pipes, and raising of the roadway. Seems like the most popular Twp name is Jackson.

A few photos of the dry fire hydrant that was installed at a pond owned by Bob & Darrin Fennel at the end of Billingsley Rd and Cooperstown Rd. Here in the Township we have very few options when it comes to obtaining water for firefighting. At this time we a hydrant at Craig Horns pond on Horn Rd and one that cannot be used at Justice Lake due to the buildup of slit in the lower end of the Lake. The township and Oakland Fire Dept. have been working to solve this problem. At the monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 8th we will be signing a agreement with Sugarcreek Boro. for the use of the fire hydrant on Cherrytree rd and Warren Rd and Rt 417 at the township line. The Rynd Farm road oil for today (Wednesday) has been cancelled because of rain. It has been rescheduled for Friday, September 4th. Please share.

A few pictures of the Rynd Farm Road being rebuilt. The roads was ditch to improve drainage, milled to a depth of 8", placement of gravel, and compacted. The Ryan Farm Road will be oiled on September 3rd along with Gresham Road. Thanks Bill, Craig and John.

ROAD CLOSING STARTING THE 26TH - Rynd Farm Road will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for milling. After the milling oil will be placed on it for stabilization and dust control. Please Share
