Port Authority of Allegheny County’s Board will continue to hold its committee and full Board meetings online as a result of the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. The Board’s Planning and Stakeholder Relations Committee meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, and will be followed immediately by meetings of the Finance Committee, Performance Oversight Committee, and Financial Audit Committee. The full Board meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November ...20. Public comments are not taken at the Board committee meetings. AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FOR THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5... The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issues a code ORANGE air qality alert for Thursday, including for the Liberty/Clairton area, including Clairton, Glassport, Lincoln, Liberty, and Port Vue. A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly, and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung diseases. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding outdoor exercise or strenuous activity.
