False claims about OCD are harmful to our community and can prevent those impacted by OCD from receiving the treatment that they need and deserve. OCD is a ser...ious illness that requires specific treatment exposure and response prevention and/or medication. Share the facts and educate your followers about appropriate evidence-based treatments for OCD by sharing iocdf.org/about-ocd!

Reminder that Joshua Riley-Graham, MD will be starting with us on August 1st! He has openings for new psychiatric referrals so please email us at [email protected] or call 412 444-8776 if you have patients that need medication evaluations. Thanks!

OCD Spectrum 10.10.2020

OCD Spectrum would like to welcome Joshua Riley-Graham, M.D., who will be joining the team! Dr. Riley-Graham is now accepting referrals for psychiatric evaluations starting in August. Please email [email protected] for appointment requests. Dr. Joshua Riley-Graham is a psychiatrist with a special interest in working with people struggling with OCD and anxiety disorders. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge before completing a PhD in Lingui...stics at the University of Maryland - College Park and an MD at the University of Kentucky. After medical school he completed residency training in General Psychiatry at Western Psychiatric Hospital/UPMC. He has experience working with people suffering from OCD, anxiety, body dysmorphia, depression, bipolar disorder, intense unusual perceptual experiences, and psychosis. Dr. Riley-Graham takes a collaborative approach, helping people identify what is truly valued and important to them and assessing their experiences to determine what might be standing in the way of pursuing those values. Medications can be a helpful part of living a life worth living but not all problems need a medicine and no medication is right for every single person, no matter what their diagnosis might be. He works with people as a guide, someone who is knowledgeable about different options and approaches and will recommend a path but ultimately remembers that you are the one taking the journey.

Thank you to all of our patients who have seamlessly transitioned to virtual therapy during this COVID-19 pandemic. Our offices will remain closed to in-person sessions for the foreseeable future. Thanks to everyone who has taken the social distancing warnings seriously as they have reduced the impact on our healthcare system. Hopefully we'll be meeting with our patients in person sometime soon. Until then, be safe out there and we'll see you on the computer!
