Last deck of the year and this one barely got done due to material shortages. It is all Trex Transcend, Vintage Lantern decking with White railing. Installed an arched concrete walkway to link driveway to deck. The deck also has 30 deck lights installed to light it up at night. Size of deck is approximately 15' x 30'. As always, Trex hidden fasteners were used along with Trex joist tape.

These pictures go with the deck that is below this post and are an example of how you could add lighting to your outdoor living space. This deck is 12' x 34' with a bench running the 34' dimension. Under the bench is 33' of RGB LED strip lighting and in the deck/stairs are 30 RBG LED round lights. These lights can be run by remote control that comes with the kit or by an app on your smart phone because the lights connect to WiFi. They change to a wide range of colors as well as white and are dimmable. This is a 12 volt system/kit, comes with everything you need and the lights simply plug into an outlet. The picture here is similar to an ice blue.

Just finished up this deck for the 4th of July. This one is 12' x 34' and is basically a mirror image of both sides. Each end of the deck has 10' wide steps and a continuous bench that runs the whole length of the deck. The deck sits 29" off of the ground and is below the required 30" to have a hand rail and that is why the client went with benches. Plus, it is a different look and adds a lot of seating. Trex Transcend decking was used in Island Mist with white PVC for th...e fascia and stair risers. Trex nylon hidden fasteners were used to secure the deck boards so you do not see any screws or fasteners. There are also deck lights installed on the steps and along the house, they change colors and are controlled via an app on a smart phone. Under the front side of the bench is a LED strip light as well. I like switching it up to do something a little different every now and then and am very happy with the final result. See more

Completed another Trex deck in Island Mist fastened with hidden fasteners. The railing is Trex Transcend white posts and rails along with black aluminum balusters. The framing was topped off with Trex Joist tape to prolong the life of the wood joists and protect them from premature rotting around the areas where screws are inserted. This is relatively new from Trex and looks to be a good insurance policy for the money. Also, installed deck lights that connect to an app on your smart phone, change colors and even link up to music so the lights 'dance' to the beat. There are a total of 30 lights on this deck and they wrap around the perimeter as well as being in the riser of the steps. The size of this deck is 20' x 20'.
