Update from County Hauling: "The safety of residents and our staff is our top priority. Due to the inclement weather that began yesterday morning and is forecasted to continue through this morning, collection services may still be delayed. We ask that residents continue to put their refuse out at their regularly scheduled day and understand that services may be behind. All trash will be collected by Saturday afternoon at the latest. We appreciate your patience and understanding."

UPCOMING NEW EVENT: E.L.F. HOLIDAY MUSIC & LASER LIGHT SHOW On Saturday, December 19th, we are hosting a unique socially distanced winter recreation event, E.L.F. (ELECTRIC LIGHT FANTASY), a drive-in holiday music and laser light show at the Norwin Knights High School Stadium Parking Lot. The event has no cost to attend but has a limited number of tickets available. Tickets must be reserved in advance. Reserve yours today for either the 6:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. show by calling the Administration Office at 724-863-3806 xt. 111 during business hours (M-F 7:30am-4:00pm). On the evening of the event, you must have your ticket and arrive 30 minutes prior to your reserved showtime. A ticket will be required for admission to the event and all attendees will need to stay in their vehicles during the event.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the E.L.F. Holiday Laser Light Show on December 19th, all showtimes have reached maximum capacity and reservations are no longer being accepted. Thank you.

PUBLIC NOTICE: 2021 PROPOSED BUDGET Notice is hereby given that the Year 2021 Proposed Budget of the TOWNSHIP OF NORTH HUNTINGDON, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, will be available for public inspection beginning November 27, 2020 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Township office, which is located at 11279 Center Highway, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. The proposed Budget will also be available on the Township of North Huntingdon website: www.nhtpa.us

The Planning Commission Meeting scheduled for December 7, 2020 has been canceled due to no new business. The next Planning Commission Meeting will be held on January 4, 2021.

VOTING LOCATION CHANGES: There have been a couple recent voting location changes for North Huntingdon residents for the November 3, 2020 election. In lieu of the Halloween Movie Double Feature, we will be holding a Fall Family Fun Fest & Movie at Oak Hollow Park on Saturday, October 17th. Look at the schedule below for the full list of activities and times and join us for a fun fall themed evening. SCHEDULE 4pm-5:30pm- Carving with Cops Pumpkin Carving:... Ages 7-11. Township residents only. Limited to rst 15 registered. Limited to 250 township residents. There will not be any vendors. Please bring your own chair, blanket, and snacks. Spaces marked for family gathering.

LIMITED PUBLIC HOURS OF USE: LIONS PARK We will be temporarily closing Lions Park on McKee Road between 7AM and 3PM during weekdays due to Frieda Road Project access. The closure will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, October 7th from 7AM-3PM and will continue to close Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM until further notice. Lions Park will remain open on weekends and daily from 3pm until dusk.

As we fall into autumn, we are still making adjustments to our seasonal recreation activities and events with respect to safety and concerns over the COVID-19 virus. We are continually working to provide and work through as many of our annual offerings as we can while maintaining efforts to provide a safe environment and follow commonwealth social distancing guidelines.
