The Memorial Day parade has been cancelled this year. There will be a service at the Scottdale Cemetary at 11:00 am due to lack of participants for the parade. There will be a service minus the parade. This is a veteran decision not a decision on behalf of the Borough.

Recycling will be picked up tomorrow and is back the regular schedule.

The January Council Meeting will be held at the borough building on Monday Jan 11@6:30pm. Anyone wishing to address council for public comment should contact the Borough Building at 724-887-8220 by Friday Jan 8 Noon. For public comment, Only one person will be allowed to enter the building at a time and a mask must be worn due to the limited spacing. The meeting will be held LIVE on the Scottdale Borough Facebook Page. Thank you for your understanding.

From County Hauling: Due to the inclement weather that began yesterday morning and is forecasted to continue through this morning, we wanted to make you aware that collection services may be delayed. We ask that residents continue to put their garbage out at their regularly scheduled day and understand that services may be behind. All trash will be collected by Saturday afternoon at the latest. If you have any questions please post to this posting and we will work to resolve any issues.

Anyone have any issues with the curb down by Scottdale Court on Broadway Street? Penn dot won’t do anything with moving the lines over unless we tell them about it!

To any resident/non resident who has had issues (popped tires, car damage) with the curb on South Broadway Street near the Scottdale Court Building, please submit a concern in on the Penn Dot page. Scottdale Mayor Chuck King declares September 2020 as Scottie Pride Month

Beginning September 1st, Scottdale Borough will begin sending out collection notices for past due sewer user fees. The Borough will be collecting sewer user fees for the years 2015-2020. The notices will be sent out by street. This will be an ongoing project over the next few months.

The Borough of Scottdale has listed the community pool building located at 115 Pioneer Way for sale at www.municibid.com/listing/details/29905588/. Bids will be accepted beginning September 1 through October 7, 2020.
