In addressing the presbyters of Ephesus, Paul realizes that he is soon to be killed because of his allegiance to Christ. Like Jesus himself, Paul can pray, Fat...her, the hour has come. Paul resigns himself to his destiny in Christ. There will come a time in our own lives when we lift our hands to heaven and pray, I served the Lord with humilityand did not shrink from telling you what was for your benefitI earnestly bore witness. It was for Paul and can be for us, a moment of surrender, that allows Jesus to take possession of what is rightly His, our hearts. We need to pray for courage and boldness in confessing our faith in Jesus!
