19.5 hours of planning, moving items, and organizing. We loved every single minute!

Hi all -last night I spent 3 hours clearing our living room of all of our holiday decorations. I took down, sorted, carefully packed, hauled, and swept years worth of memories back into their homes for the next year. It always feels a little sad at the end, but then I felt a bubble of relief and exhilaration to be able to just breathe in my space again, leaving me to daydream a little about new possibilities in the new year. Here’s to daydreams and possibilities in the new year!

Well, Friends, we have wonderful news! As of January 1st 2019, India Nixon-Lyon will be the new owner of Organic Home! India has been working with us for awhile now and I'm certain she'll do an excellent job as she is professional, sincere, good-natured, hard-working, and she pays attention to details. She’s an exceptionally capable and likable human - and what’s even better is that she is also passionate about a Triple Bottom Line - people, environment, and small business.... It is with some sadness that I say goodbye but I’m proud of the work I’ve done with your help and the help of the many cleaners we’ve had over the years. In 2006 I started the business primarily because I believe that having a truly sustainable company is one of the most effective ways to make a positive impact in the world - to contribute to health/beauty/quality in people’s lives and to serve as a model for ethical business. For thirteen years, Organic Home has been doing just that - and the good news is, India will carry it forward and increase our impact. As some of you may know, I’ve been away a lot caring for family and it’s been pretty tough juggling the company. I'm so relieved and inspired that India is all-in and ready to take care of business. I’ll still be around OH to collaborate and assist as long as I'm useful to India. In the meantime, even if you don’t need cleaning or organizing at this time, please support our work at Organic Home by liking/following us on social media and helping spread the word about us - a company that believes in quality service, good will, treating others with respect, paying a fair wage, and being gentle on our beautiful planet.
