May is #NationalMilitaryAppreciationMonth and we consider ourselves lucky to have taught so many who have served. Our Veteran graduates always share how the skills that they learn while serving relate so nicely to what they learn in our programs. We thank all military members for their service.

We are closed today in observance of Veterans Day and Orleans would like to recognize all of those who have served in the US Armed Forces. Over the years we have had the pleasure of teaching many #Veterans, and we can’t thank them enough for their service. So many of the skills learned in the armed forces apply in the trades world, and we love to shape and hone those skills to send our students out into careers.

Even though we won’t be together in person, Saturday is still the best day of our year. We are so proud of our graduates and it’s time to celebrate! Spanning graduating classes from 7/1/19 to 10/31/20, these students put in the hard work and are now seeing the fruits of their labor. Our school will be closed for both day and evening classes tomorrow for #ElectionDay. We encourage all of our students to make a plan and exercise their right to vote.

As we conclude sharing just some details of the incredible partnership we have with Horizon Services, we have to quote Eric Crawford, Director of Talent Acquisition who shared an incredible tidbit about some of our grads and this profession as a whole. I’ve been working with Orleans for 5 years and I have graduates who began at Horizon that first year and who at age 26/27 are already making $100,000 a year. #Careers #HVAC

We love being able to bring employers into our building to meet with our students and that includes Clark Service Group who spoke to our #HVAC students earlier this month. Not only do they share insight about their industry, they get a look at potential future employees.
