O'Sullivan's Christmas Tree Farm

We can’t make any promises that they will still be here in December, but there’s a chance you may be able to spy a few chickens at the farm this year during tree season. Today the grandkids showed up with six baby chicks for papas birthday. They thought the farm would be a fun place for them to grow up and that papa might enjoy the eggs. While we are great at growing trees, we are lacking in experience raising chicks. Tips are welcome below. We have a little pen for them. T...his bin was just for travel. They will get transferred outside to a chicken coupe once they grow a bit more. If you see Ed this week wish him a Happy Birthday and ask him how chicken farming is going.

You may still be finding Easter eggs out in the yard this year when you come out for your tree at Christmas time. We sure hid a lot of them for the kids. We spent the day soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the beauty of the farm with our loved ones. We hope you all had a blessed Easter.

Just incase the needles are still holding strong on your tree and you are not quite ready to part with it just yet- we have an idea for you. A quick switch out of some ornaments and ribbon and you can turn the tree into a Valentine’s Day tree so you can enjoy it a little longer. All the supplies are from Michaels. If you are smart about it you can find lots of clearance red and white Christmas decor that can be repurposed. Most were all 80% off. ... Anything to get you a few more weeks with it. Just an update from the maker for those who have been wondering about the ornaments.

That’s a wrap on year 24. We still have a few trees left at the stand and a couple of items left in the wreath shop if you need it, but for the most part we have wrapped up our season. While 2020 has been an incredibly hard year for so many of us- you still showed up with your Christmas spirit to the farm. We were in awe of how many of you came out to support our small business. Many many thanks for making it such a great year. ... We hope those new families that we welcomed this year who came out for something new to do decide to come back again next year. It’s always a joy to see you all year after year. Tree farm memories are ones your family will carry forever and we are grateful to have a little part in that. May your holiday be merry and bright! Here’s a close up of the sample centerpiece since the WiFi wasn’t great up at the wreath garage when we went live. They will vary by carnation color and mixed pine. This is just to give you a rough idea. We will be working with Indiana Floral to use their fresh carnations. We will have a mix of reds, white, pink and a peppermint color. Cost is $50.00 paid upon pick up. Order forms will be posted tonight and open until Thursday. Pick up will be Tuesday and a Wednesday of next week just in time for Christmas. Need help making your presents look extra special this year? Feel free to stop in at the farm today. Bring your roll of ribbon and our elves can make you bows to use for your gift toppers. When picking your ribbon, it’s best to find ones that have wire on the edging. They make nicer bows and stay together better. Bow making is $3.00 per bow. ... Yesterday was another great day at the farm even in spite of the afternoon rain. We had lots of families who braved the weather and even went out to cut down their tree during the drizzle. That’s dedication and we love seeing it. Those the are the kind of memories your family will talk about for years to come. We realize that many of you are beginning to look for unique gifts for others. Our wreaths, centerpieces and planters make great gifts. Everything is custom so once it’s gone it’s gone.
