As Audiology Awareness Month continues, there are facts we'd like to share that many of our followers may not know. For instance: that a simple task, like mowing the lawn, can cause noise-induced hearing loss over time. So can fireworks, hair dryers, or even the alarm clock you use each day. Happy #throwbackthursday. Did you know that before hearing aids, we had hearing trumpets? Yes, you read that right! The 18th century brought us this evolution of the ear trumpet. While they didn’t amplify sound, they functioned by collecting sound and funneling it through a narrow tube into the ear. Needless to say: we've come a long way! #funfacts
