Happy Mother's Day to all my staff and daycare parents. Hope it is something good to remember. We are so blessed.

To all my staff and little friends at daycare.....I miss all of you so much. I miss my kisses on your little heads and your hugs. I miss us whispering secrets to each other and I miss you all running to see Daisy Mae. I miss seeing you dance and riding your bikes. I miss seeing your teachers teaching you new things. I miss you coming to my office when you need a hug and a piece of candy. I guess I just miss everything about all of you. Please stay safe and try to have fun. You can draw us pictures of what you have done while you are off. I will see you all as soon as it is ok for us to be together again. I will be waiting for your hugs.

We have now received the word to close. Our Buddy's Place is closing for 14 days. We have been hoping it would not come to this as we wanted to give the parents care for their children and not have our staff suffer by lost wages. Now we must do what is best for the children and close. During the time we are closed we plan to use every means possible to disinfect and sanitize our center so that it is safe for the children when they come back. Stay safe everyone.

Attention All Parents: We have just been informed from West Penn Power that the electric will be turned off from 9A.M.-noon tomorrow. School age children can come as this will not affect them. It will affect the other childten as we will not be opening until noon. We are not permittted to have children here if we do not have electric. I apologize for the inconvenience but we have no choice.

We are looking for someone to bring us a load of good dirt for our small playground for the little ones. We need to plant grass so they can play outside.

We are looking to see if Ny parents know anyone that can give us an estimate on patching the holes in our parking lot.

Ok my wonderful parents.....this is where we are with our donation to Make a Wish through Swishes for Wishes. To date we have collected $800 toward our goal of $1,000. We can do this. Please bring in your donates to help this wonderful cause. Flo & I have both been touched by them in our lives. Please help us reach our goal by March 15th.

The center is closed on Monday, March 2nd. We are replacing flooring and need the day to clean up. I apologize for closing but we have no choice.

We are still enrolling for our Pre-K Counts class due to start in Oct. If interested please contact us at 724-220-5592. This is a great program that is free for children 3-4 if you meet the income guidelines.

We will soon be posting Mud Day pictures. The kids had a blast. Also please take the time to stop out front and look at the beautiful flower garder that the school-age class has created. It is awesome! Also, remember that our family picnic is August 28th at ammoth Park. More info will follow soon.

Our kids had a visit from the Blackburn Center and their friend "Obie" teaching them about "Good Touch Bad Touch".

Our visit from the State Police and Trooper Lucas. The kids got to sit in the car amd she turned the siren on before she left. The kids really had a great time.

Check out our kids with all their new animals! Huge thanks to Max's Bear Factory for coming to our center! The kids had a blast!!!

International Mud Day

We will be celebrating "International Mud Day" at the center on Friday. Please send in OLD clothes that you do not want returned. The little ones will NOT be participating.

When you see me engrossed in a puzzle or some "Plaything" at school, Please don't feel the time is wasted in "Play" For, you see, I am learning as I play. I'm learning to solve problems and concentrate... I may be in business someday. See more

When you see me up to my elbows in paint, Or standing at an easel, or molding and shaping clay. Please don't let me hear you say I'm "Just Playing" For you see I'm learning as I play, I may be a teacher someday.

When I'm getting all dressed up, Setting the table, caring for babies, Don't get the idea I'm "Just playing" For, you see, I'm learning as I play. I may be a mother or father someday.

Parents: Did you know that 90% of a child's brain is developed by age 5. Lot to think about. That is why good quality childcare/preschool is so very important.

Our Buddy's Place will be having a Preschool Vision Screening for all our 3-5 year olds this fall. It will be done By The United Way and the Association for the Blind. We will keep you posted as to the date and time. This is a very good screening for the parents to take advantage of since it is free.

I want to thank all of my awesome staff for the wonderful jobs that they do. They love and care for the kids as if they were their own. They are what makes Our Buddy's Place such a great place to be. They work together as a family and help one another every chance they get. We all work very hard to make the center a family environment for the kids and their families. I could not ask for a better staff.
