Dear Overbrook Park Church of Christ Members, Leadership is working to take measures to keep you and your families safe. Please remember some important tips to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the flu, and other respiratory viruses, which continue to affect many areas in the world. Although we are not able to fully prevent the spread of any virus, the following measures will help you to protect yourself and contain the spread to others: Stay at home if you a...re sick. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze, for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue then throw the tissue in the trash. Immediately follow up with hand washing or sanitizing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth to prevent spreading germs. Try to avoid close contact with sick people. Keep surfaces clean, especially computer keyboards and mice, light switches, TV remotes, phones, door, and cabinet handles. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is a valuable resource for even more tips and includes helpful information about traveling domestically and internationally. Frequently Asked Questions about a variety of topics, including risk assessments, are also featured. For the most up to date information, we suggest that you include www.cdc.gov in your Favorites on your laptop or desk top and check it routinely. If at any time you are experiencing symptoms, please contact your medical provider. As we work together through this global public health concern, it is important that we rely on accurate information and not generate stigma regarding specific populations. The Pennsylvania Department of Health reminds us that viruses can make sickregardless of their race or ethnicity. People who have not recently traveled to affected areas of the world or been in contact with a person who is a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, are not at greater risk of acquiring and spreading COVID-19 than others in the United States. God Bless! Sincerely, Sister Theresa Spencer on behalf of Overbrook Park Church of Christ Leadership https://www.cdc.gov//workplace-school-and-home-guidance.pdf
