"It's the most wonderful time of the year SWARM season is quickly approaching!!! End of April-beginning of May is the beginning of my favorite time of the yea...r. Here are pics of a few of last year's swarms. If you or someone you know has a honeybee swarm, please contact me. I will come and re-home the bees. Please DO NOT KILL or spray anything that looks like this. Most swarms are super docile and just looking for a place to build a new hive. Message me, call me at my office, find someone who knows me and can get in touch with me...I'll deal with the bees, and if I cannot, I have friends such as Matt Tia Mitch and other beekeepers who can help. Our snow removal service, with a signed contract, did not show yesterday. We arrived to a snow filled parking lot this morning. We are scrambling to find someone to remove snow, but this will take a little for them to remove the frozen snow. If you had an appointment this morning, we will need to reschedule, as you will not be able to get to the door. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Owens Dentistry is looking to add members to our Dental Hygiene team. Advance your skills and proficiency in a vibrant, state of the art office, servicing all areas of dental treatment. Responsibilities:... Provide all aspects of hygiene care (including but not limited to SRP, Sealants, oral cancer screening) Take radiographs of patients using digital dental radiographic equipment, including CBCT. Time and schedule management. Patient education. Maintaining/updating Patient charting including clinical and health history. Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and Infection control training as required by law Assist with other office duties as requested or needed. Qualifications: PA dental hygiene license. CPR/BLS certification Ability to multi-task, communicate with patients and work well in a fast-paced environment. CE credit reimbursement, uniforms, and sign on bonus provided.

Food drive is off to a great start. Bring items for donation to local food banks. For every item, we will take 2$ off your balance at the office (up to 30$). A benefit for you, and someone who may need a little help. The holidays are a busy time for food banks, so help us help them. We will be accepting items until December 31.

Happy Veterans Day. We are going to extend our candy buyback today, tomorrow and Monday. This candy buyback benefits our troops. OPERATION gratitude makes care packages and includes all the donated candy. They have sent hundreds of thousands of packages out, and every bit helps. We have had a poor turn out so far with COVID, only about 12 pounds of candy....previous years have been up to 200. Our package will ship out Tuesday.

It's actually the 7th time we are doing this. Ever since we moved into the larger space, We have been trying to schedule 2 free clinics a year. COVID restrictions apply. You MUST call for an appointment.

The holidays hit food pantries pretty hard. COVID shut us down for our spring drive, so lets make this one a success. If you don't have an appointment before the end of the year, give us a call about arranging a drop off.

A few years back I did a "hair drive" with The Difference salon in Kulpmont at the Coal Region Relay for life. Tammy Kwiterovich Tweed AND Colleen did free hair...cuts for those donating. I had about 15 inches of hair and about 6 other people donated that day. Wigs for Kids is a great organization, look into their process for getting children real hair wigs. https://www.wigsforkids.org/ . If you have seen me, and wondered what this man-bunned guy is doing...well...I'm doing it again. I thought I was ready to donate...but I'm only at 12 inches..so it looks like I'm gonna be like this for a little bit longer. Covid put a damper on any sort of event, but I would encourage anyone with some long locks, to look into possibly donating and changing the life of a child in a very meaningful way. See more

This is the 9th year for our candy buyback, benefiting Operation Gratitude. COVID has made this year a little difficult. With our office restrictions, we can not allow everyone to come in as usual for the buyback. This year we will accept candy till next Monday night (11/9). Our hours are Tuesday 9-7pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9-4pm and Monday 9-7pm. If you have an appointment bring the candy with you or your kids. If you do not have an appointment, please call the office when you arrive and state you are here for the candy buyback. Please estimate the weight of the candy you are bringing, as we will not weigh it at the office this year. As always it will be $1 a pound up to 5 pounds. Operation Gratitude sends care packages to our men and women in the armed forces all over the world.

Orthodontics are not just for creating straight front teeth. Successful ortho treatment involves attention to the bite(occlusion), the upper and lower jaw bone, and the overall health of the gum tissue. If these are not carefully planned there can be consequences that cause tooth loss.
