Congrats to all of the recently announced second cohort of Millennium Fellows, but especially to our very own Global Studies Center student and Governor's school alumni Caroline Weiss! Along with 9 other undergraduate students selected, the program convenes, challenges, and celebrates student leadership for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Fellows will embark on a semester-long leadership development program that happens here at Pitt!

Pennsylvania Governor's School for Global & International Studies needs YOUR support! DONATE to the Gov School on Pitt's Day of Giving! DONATE HERE : https://securelb.imodules.com/s/1729/18/form-giving.aspx... Each year, Pitt students, faculty, alumni, community members and benefactors of the University of Pittsburgh, who have supported our four-week residence on their campus each year, come together to celebrate the Pitt Day of Giving. This 24-hour online and on-campus fundraising event is an opportunity to continue the 25-year legacy of the Governor's School for Global & International Studies. We are proud and steadfast in our commitment to present high-school sophomores and juniors with global challenges in business, politics, and fields that inspire their intellectual curiosity. From our top-notch instruction and critical thinking activities to our weekend excursions and exploration of our beloved Pittsburgh, we pride ourselves on developing educationally-relevant programming in a fun, immersive way that prepares students beyond their time in high school. This year, a first in Gov School history, students will be required to pay the entirety of the $4,000 tuition due to cuts made in the Governor's budget. We count on you to help us in continuing to provide our deserving students with the same opportunities afforded to you by donating today--with only a minimum of $5, your generous donation goes a long way in supporting our 25th year! Every amount counts and helps us to bring additional resources, expertise and globally-focused education to future Gov School alumni like YOU! $5 The cost to transport a student. $15 The cost associated with an excursion. $20 The cost of course materials. $50 the cost per day to house a feed a student Give Today. Transform Tomorrow. In gratitude, Veronica Dristas Director, Governor's School for Global & International Studies Associate Director, Global Studies Center Maja Konitzer Program Manager, Global Studies Center
