Cub Scout Pack 23

This past weekend we held a Supernova Award, Arrow of Light, and Crossover Ceremony as well as helped put out flyers for Scouting For Food. One Webelos received the Webelos Super Achiever Award for earning all the Welebos Adventures. Three Bears and two Webelos Received their Supernova Awards. Four Webelos also receive their Arrow Of Light Rank and crossed over to Troops 34 and 66. Some of the Webelos spent the weekend camping with Troop 66. Our Webelos were able to crossover a few months early due to earning their AOL Rank early as well meeting the age requirements for Scouts BSA. It was was busy weekend.

Our Cub Scouts handed out Halloween Grab and Go Treat Bags in the Lutheran Church parking lot on Tuesday night. Scouts from Troop 66 also joined us. We handed out bags with candy, glow sticks, stickers, ducks, along with drink pouches and rice crispy treats from Troop 66. We had lots of families drive though. The Scouts had a great time wearing their Halloween costumes while providing this service to the community. I am glad we discovered this event idea to replace what would have normally been our Pack Halloween Party. It feels good to have been able to help other youth in our community have a little extra Halloween this year. We hope to do this again next year for Halloween. There will be more Ducks!

This weekend our Scouts were able to talk with other Scouts from around the world, including Trinidad and Columbia, during Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI) https://www.jotajoti.info/. This is a great way for Scouts to learn what Scouting is like in other countries, and talk about their Scouting activities in Pennsylvania.

Halloween Grab and Go! - Tuesday October 27, 6:30-8pm at the Pleasant Gap Lutheran Church. Pleasant Gap Cub Scout Pack 23 will had out Halloween Treat Bags on Tuesday October 27, 6:30-8pm. The first ~100 (We doubled our treat bags) youth whose families drive through the Lutheran Church parking lot will receive a Halloween Treat Bag.... Girls & Boys, K-5th Grade Are Invited to Join - Learn All About Our Pack and Register.
