After lots of presentations and hard work, the staff is now bonding over a snowball fight!

Seven-year-old Zoey H. used her Cub Scouts training during a serious house fire in May 2020. Zoey was at a sleepover with her friend near her home, when around ...2 am, a neighbor caused a fire that spread to the rest of the apartment duplex. Instead of panicking, Zoey waited for the adult's instructions to get out of the burning building. "I remembered to stay calm and brave when I was so scared. My heart was beeping so fast!" Once they were safe at Zoey's house, she took the lead of the other children and distracted them by playing and watching a movie. "When my friends were crying and upset, I prayed with them. I tried to be a good friend. I distracted them and gave them something to eat." Way to go, Zoey! : Cherokee Area Council BSA

Last day of 2020 NYLT. Finishing strong.

Sunday we had a lot of challenging games for the participants as well as presentations. We can't wait to see them again on Friday!!

Yesterday the participants were challenged in team building activities and use their scout skills!
