Construction for AtlantiCare's three-story, 69,700 square foot Medical Arts Pavilion in Atlantic City, NJ is underway! Yesterday, the groundbreaking ceremony was held on National Doctor’s Day to highlight the significance of the care and services that will be provided in the new facility. P. The GBCA recently hosted their first virtual Eggs with OSHA of 2021, which focused on the four leading hazards in construction. The interactive event featured breakout conversations where participants worked through real life case studies and how Philadelphia region construction workers can avoid jobsite hazards. Our own Safety Manager, Jenn Pilgrim, facilitated the breakout conversation on electrocution. The group examined two case studies from fatal accidents resulting fro...m electrocution. Together, they discussed what caused the incidents, different ways to prevent this from happening again, and how electrical hazards are not just something an electrician has to be trained to recognize. The ideas that were generated during the event will help to develop the resources for the region's 2021 OSHA Focus Four Campaign and Toolbox Talks will be distributed from this event to the GBCA’s members and supporting partners.

Happy Employee Appreciation Day to our P. Agnes team!

In January, P. Agnes completed constructed for the new, state-of-the-art Health & Wellness Center for Law Enforcement Health Benefits, a non-profit organization that manages the health insurance program for the Philadelphia Police Department and the Police union. The 22,000 sq ft, two-story building is a welcoming space for members to receive fitness training, behavioral, and dietary counseling. P. Agnes recently completed our first two projects for Nemours A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. The hospital is a highly sensitive environment with intense Infection Control procedures. Both projects were completed in 2020, with the added complexity of COVID-19 which required new protocols to be put in place.
