The Association is currently seeking nominations for the following awards: Hall of Fame award, Pioneer award, Distinguished Supporter award, and the Distinguished Young Breeder award. Recipients will be named and honored at the 2021 Pennsylvania Holstein Convention. Forms for all awards are to be completed and turned into the PHA office by December 31. It’s Election Day so please vote, it’s your civic responsibility. Also, please vote for Holstein Association USA Delegates to next year’s National Convention. These ballots are just landing in your mailbox. Please return them before December 31st. Thanks

2021 State Convention Postponed Until 2022 The difficult decision has been made to postpone the state convention until 2022. This was not an easy decision or one that anyone wanted to make. However, we are planning to host junior contests that are held at the national level. We will hold DJM interviews for our semifinalists at the PHA office on Saturday, February 6. Other (national eligible) in person contests will be held in March in the central PA area. We are working on securing a date and location and hope to have this information available soon. Please keep an eye out on social media and farm press for all updates and information.

Most of you already know of the passing of our beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and friend John A. Foster Jr. on September 12th, 2020.... As he is greatly loved, admired, respected, and missed by so many, we have decided to have a Memorial Service/Celebration of Life in his honor. Junior members... one last reminder to enter this first time contest!

As we look to 2021, the Southeast District is looking forward to hosting all Holstein enthusiasts for the state convention to be held for both the junior and adult associations February 5-7 at the Crowne Plaza in Reading. The weekend will be filled with junior contests, recognition of award recipients, the convention sale, farm tours, as well as plenty of time to socialize with fellow Holstein friends. Due to current government restrictions and regulations, the Friday and Sat...urday night meals and events, as well as the Sunday morning awards breakfast will be held off site. All other events and activities will be held at the Crowne Plaza. County junior leaders should have received contest rules and entry forms and they can also be found on the website. A reminder to our adult membership that we are seeking nominations for the Hall of Fame, Pioneer, Distinguished Supporter, and Distinguished Young Breeder awards. Be on the lookout for more publicity regarding the convention in the weeks to come! See more
