***PSA*** I give this lecture almost 5x daily. These shampoos are the top seven worst shampoos for your hair. I have clients tell me that there hair is frizzy, ...oily, unmanageable, and the list goes on. Your hair is not oily. It is weighed down by build up left from the waxes and plastics in these shampoos. The pH of your hair is between 4.5-5.5. The pH of these shampoos are between 7.9-9.9. They are extremely harsh and will ruin your hair. If you have color, they will strip the color out. The results of your hair being frizzy is because these shampoos blow open the cuticle on the hair shaft. They leave the hair lifeless and flat to your head. At first they work fabulous because they are distributing waxes to leave the hair shiny and soft. Over time those waxes harden. If you are using any of these feel free to come see me and I can do a buildup test and leave you disgusted like my other clients are when they see the horrible thick residue on their hair. Also, you can buy salon brands inside of drugstores, THEY ARE NOT THE REAL THING. It clearly says on the bottle, for professional use only. Salon products are distributed by vendors who ONLY SELL TO SALONS. Your professional products are either old, diluted or both. ****so I did not expect this post to have this many shares or comments. This post was made to inform and for others to share recommendations and experiences. I am just a hair dresser sharing my experiences that I see daily. I do not know about every product out there. Just the ones I’m very familiar with. There are cheaper alternatives than just salon brands. Your hair is a crown you never take off. It’s important to invest in it so you can get the results you truly deserve. Also to all the people copying and pasting this as their own words, eat shit. Y’all could at least give me some credit.
