High School West Prom 2021 was a success! "With 22 students in attendance, prom night started with a ride on the incline up Mt. Washington. With a beautiful scenic backdrop of the city of Pittsburgh, a photo op was a must. The beautiful night continued with a dinner cruise onboard the Gateway Clipper. Fun was had by all!" -Mrs. Grauer

PALCS Director of Guidance, Mrs. Shavaun McGinty speaks on Counseling in a Virtual School. "I was invited to be a guest speaker at a practicum class for school counselors at West Chester University to address the group on how we "do" school counseling in a cyber school. The students were very curious about how we deliver a comprehensive school counseling program in an online learning environment. It was a wonderful opportunity to share some examples of the great work our counselors do with their students and families."

Congratulations to our 8th Grade CPFA Graduates! Last Wednesday was a beautiful day to hold our ceremony outdoors and celebrate some of our young aspiring artists.

It's our First Annual 'Season of Giving'! As we ponder how this year has impacted so many, we want our families to know that we are here for you. We all need each other - which is why we've started this NEW Tradition! The PALCS Pantry collects donations year-round, so that we may support our families in need. In collaboration with our staff and families, we receive your kind donations and are able to distribute to families in need. We have created an Amazon Wish list to help support our PALCS Pantry. Our CPFA High School students have been hard at work preparing for their live stream performances of the play LOVE/SICK, by John Cariani - a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. This is a unique and wonderful opportunity for friends and family who live too far away to experience our CPFA students’ work. Happy Monday! Our pup's joined us last week in celebrating Unity Day. Although National Bullying Awareness Month is coming to an end, we will continue to raise awareness on kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Bullying is an extremely sensitive topic, but it is important that our entire community feels supported. #NationalBullyingPreventionMonth

Just a reminder for all PALCS Seniors: Ms. Schick will be hosting a college application event tomorrow (10/26) from 11 am-1 pm and 5-7 pm. She will have an open zoom room for you to pop in any time to work on applications, essays, or financial aid and ask any questions you may have about the process.
