Our last senior to congratulate is another lifeguard, Brianna. Brianna will be graduating from Whitehall High School and will be heading to the University of South Carolina Beaufort to major in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. Best of luck, Brianna!

We would like to announce that Eric Keck is our assistant manager! Eric has worked at the pool for several years in all capacities...office and refreshment stand, lifeguarding, and maintenance. We are excited to have Eric working alongside Lee and perhaps we will even get a new picture of Eric with Santa!

We’d like to congratulate another lifeguard, Gina, who will also be graduating from Palmerton High School next week. Gina will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder to major in Biochemistry on the Pre-Med track with a minor in Spanish. Best of luck, Gina!

We would like to congratulate our lifeguard Hunter who will be graduating from Palmerton High School in a little over a week. Hunter will be heading to Universal Technical Institute for their Diesel and Automotive Mechanic programs. Best of luck, Hunter!

We are happy to report that things are proceeding nicely. The flange that was needed has arrived, been installed, and the pump and filtration system are running. The curing process has completed, so the filling has continued. We appreciate Mother Nature’s help by providing water directly into the pool and indirectly through the creek. The baby pool flooring has also been completed and the pool has been filled. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we continue to finalize the preparation for the 2021 season and we hope to see you June 5!

We encourage all children to get involved with our Palmerton Swim Team! It’s a quick season but yet an excellent way to keep children active and in a routine during the summer. Please see their page for more information.

The Palmerton Memorial Park Assoc. seeks an individual to manage the day to day Swimming Pool operations, lifeguards, office staff and refreshment stand personnel. This is a full-time working supervisory position for the swimming season and part-time for March and April. Please see included job description. We’ve always known that we hire smart kids but tonight we have proof. Congratulations to three of our recent office and stand workers - Frankie, Alex, and Kyle - who were inducted into Palmerton High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society. It should also be noted that participating in the ceremony as Vice President of the organization was lifeguard Gina.

The pool will not be the same without Harry.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news with our pool friends that our beloved Harry Brown passed away this morning. Harry was the official temperature taker, arriving at the pool about 15 minutes early to take care of this most important task. He participated in Jittery Joints every year since it began about 25 years ago. He sat with his dear friends near 5 1/2 feet each and every day and enjoyed his popsicle each afternoon with Tommy. The pool definitely will not be the same without him. May you Rest In Peace, Harry, with lots of cherry and rainbow popsicles (with jokes on the sticks)!

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful Labor Day weekend to enjoy at the pool. We expect the entire pool to be available Sunday and Monday for our members’ enjoyment. There might be a few times today when there are limitations (slide and/or deep end closed). We have updated our sales in the refreshment stand. Great prices for some yummy snacks! We also have a few items that you can purchase in bulk to take home with you...or share! All bulk items must be purchased at the stand while they last. We will not hold items so please don’t comment or message asking us to do so. We hope to see you this weekend to enjoy the last three days of the PMPA...for 2020, of course!

We are desperately waiting for the rain to stop. Got some brave people waiting it out...and enjoying the rain!

We share lots of pictures of our beautiful pool, but we shouldn’t fail to recognize the monument that greets our visitors. Thank you to Jane Borbe and our maintenance crew for keeping it looking so lovely!

We are happy to announce that the pool will continue to open at our regular hours through the last day which is Labor Day, September 7. It is unknown exactly how many lifeguards we will have to finish the season as we await the announcement about sports and other activities. We will do our best to provide the entire pool for your swimming enjoyment but also ask for your understanding if we need to make adjustments. Thank you and let’s hope for some to finish out the season!

No matter the angle, she’s simply beautiful! Thanks to the maintenance crew for the freshly cut grass. Only thing that makes it better is our members enjoying it...which will be happening shortly!

One final hip-hip-hooray!

So glad that the weather cooperated for the last day of Jittery Joints for 2020! Several of this season’s instructors led the group through one final morning of exercises.

Due to no and impending , the pool is closing for the day. The weekend looks promising!

Good news...it looks like the rain is holding off at least for this morning. Last day of Jittery Joints and lap swimming are on!

The storm was a little rough on the pool property. But it wasn’t all bad...gave us a good amount of water in the pool and made for a pretty creek.

It just doesn’t seem to be pool weather today. There will be no Jittery Joints, lap swimming, or general swimming today...the pool with be closed. As a make-up, we will open for Jittery Joints and lap swimming tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:00 am. Thank you and stay safe!

Another great turnout for Jittery Joints and they don’t need rain for their rainbows! Thankful for pool noodles so they can make their circle but still maintain social distancing.

We are very proud to have our Porpoises swimming at the pool again this year! Do you know someone who would like to join?

What a great group of people taking advantage of the morning swim and workout opportunities! So glad to see so many adults enjoying our beautiful facility on this picture perfect weather day! From the sounds of it, they’re also enjoying each other’s company and socialization...from a safe distance of course!
