Luzerne County President Judge Michael Vough entered an Order extending the Stay of Evictions from Residential Properties for Non-Payment of Rent until December 31, 2020, subject to an income limit. Navigating the Court system is difficult to begin with, but has been made even more complex by the Covid-19 crisis. The Luzerne County Courts are scheduled to reopen on a limited basis on June 1, 2020. However, there are still many restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The Luzerne County Courts will be closed to all non-essential business until at least May 31, 2020. Non-Essential businesses in Luzerne and surrounding counties are closed until further order by the Governor. Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, our Attorneys will be working remotely pursuant to Governor Wolf's directive until the restrictions are lifted.
